Case study: Candidate Relevancy
Candidate Relevancy is an AI-enabled recruiting tool designed to help employers with the recruiting process. It works by assessing how closely the skills, education and experience listed on an applicant’s resume match those listed on the job description. Employers can review Candidate Relevancy’s assessment to help determine who to advance in the hiring process.
Development and design
Candidate Relevancy compares an applicant’s skills, education and experience with the requirements of the job description. This skills-based focus can help connect employers to a more diverse pool of qualified candidates.
Training
Candidate Relevancy is not trained on protected demographic information—gender, age, race, ethnicity, address and so on—and is instead trained on data based on employee skills, education and experience.
User interface
Candidate Relevancy doesn’t remove applicants from the employer’s view; it simply ranks them. Through this design, employers still have access to all candidates and can assess everyone before deciding which candidates to pursue.
Testing
Candidate Relevancy is regularly monitored and tested. A 2023 evaluation conducted by an independent auditor concluded there was no statistical evidence of bias in the candidate recommendations provided by the tool.
